Flawesome Parenting

Ever feel like you’re constantly making mistakes and wrong decisions on your parenting journey?

I do.

  • Shouting at the kids when they didn’t deserve it.

  • Saying yes when Mum said no.

  • Bringing too much work home with me.

  • Forgetting to pick up the kids when I was supposed to.

  • Eating the treats in the cupboard that were bought for the kids packed lunch.

  • Letting the boys stay up past their bedtime to watch the football on TV.

  • Delivering an over the top punishment for a minor discretion.

  • Dropping the boys ice-cream.

  • The list goes on….

Instead of being down in the dumps and giving myself a hard time I’ve decided to embrace my flaws, learn from them and strive to keep being a better father.

I’m embracing Flawsome Parenting!

In fact, go ahead can call me ‘the Flawsome Dad”

Flawsome is a new word I came across recently and means:

an individual who embraces their "flaws" and knows they are awesome regardless

I know I’m not the perfect father but I am trying to be better every day.

Can I challenge you today?

Keep going.

Embrace your flaws.

Learn from your mistakes.

And keep being Flawesome!

Andrew
